About the Speaker
With over 25 years of experience in journalism, Arvind Sharma is an independent journalist, political cartoonist, photographer and social worker who has dedicated his career to documenting, preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
In 2008, he founded Sambh, an organization committed to the preservation and promotion of Himachali languages, literature and culture, with a special focus on the revival of the historic Tankri script, once widely used to write Pahari and Dogri languages across the Western Himalayas.
Since 2010, Arvind has travelled extensively across Himachal Pradesh, capturing its diverse landscapes, traditions, communities and way of life through his photography. As an explorer and storyteller, he has documented the state's cultural identity from some of its most remote and lesser-known regions.
He is also one of the few active political cartoonists in Himachal Pradesh, using satire and illustration to present thought-provoking commentary on contemporary social and political issues.
In 2018, Arvind founded Dhauladhar Cleaners, a volunteer-driven environmental initiative dedicated to keeping the Himalayas clean. What began as a mission to clean the Dhauladhar mountain range in Kangra has grown into one of the region's most recognized environmental movements, undertaking large-scale cleanliness drives along the Manimahesh Yatra route and around the sacred Manimahesh Lake, while promoting responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.
As a moderator at the Enoxx Himachal Conclave 2026, Arvind Sharma brings together the perspectives of journalism, culture, environmental conservation and grassroots engagement, enriching conversations on the identity, heritage and sustainable future of Himachal Pradesh.
